Plateau de Valensole

Covered in lavender

The 800 km² of the Plateau de Valensole are dedicated to the growth of cereals, but mostly of lavender. At the start of the summer, the plateau changes to a sea of blue hints, set in contrast with the golden stretches of wheat. A true oasis for photographers, who will be amazed by the blazing colours bathing in light. These vast stretches are scattered with remains of the Gallo-Roman civilisation: a temple, a basilica and a baptistery in Riez, or the thermal baths in Gréoux-les-Bains.
